No audio in timeline or export

Recently upgraded to BI V5. I'm loving the timeline playback of all cameras in UI3. But I only get audio when the timeline is playing live video. When playing recorded video, the audio control is dimmed and no audio is delivered. BI version 5.5.9.3, UI3 version 221.

On another - possible related - note: I exported some video, and while the original clip has audio, the exported .mp4 is silent. This worked fine in V4 .

Ideas?

Audio plays in Live View or Clips view, but not Timeline view (yet).

When you export video from Clips, be sure to check the Include Audio box.

Has this still not changed? I need to export multiple videos via timeline view because I need the audio from one of those cameras. Even though I select the audio button when exporting there is no audio in the exported file when played back.

Think about it, do you really believe that we have not been able to export video with audio since 2022? This function has been available since October of 2022 - you must have 5.6.3 or later.
Also, your statement makes no sense. "I need to export multiple videos via timeline view because I need the audio from one of those cameras" You can export that camera on its own with audio.
