Noob here to setting up NVR

Browser likely.
What are you using? Edge or Edge in IE mode should work, as should Pale Moon 32

And dont try and update any firmware at this point until you know your way around the system.
Even then dont. Its not necessary and may create problems if it isnt the right fw or done right

Edge in IE mode is best or plain old fashioned IE

I just got in 4 of mine with the new GUI with plain Edge and was able to view the live video

Sometimes its simply close browser, start over. Unfortunately camera FW can be ornery

Ok, I might be trying to get into them the wrong way. I log into the NVR and then click the blue e in the bottom of the camera to access it. Would it be the internet or the plug in? I have 1gig fiber.

Has nothing to do with internet if you are home. It’s all inside your home LAN. You could unplug the Interwebs and it won’t matter.

So yes that’s the right way. Browser issue
Do the edge in IE mode I posted

Man, I feel so stupid, it was the plug in. It works now. I’m sorry to bother y’all. This is all a new learning process for me. Now I’m going to try to do some settings with the picture and then get it on DMSS.

No worries
What model camera?

4k-t180 for my side overview of the house. I still have two more cameras to install which are the S3. That will be for the front of the house. I need to more cameras than these but having to start off with these and then add more along the way. I’m new to all of this and pretty excited to go away from WiFi cameras and have Poe cameras. Just a learning curve for me.

I would have started with one of the single lens cameras, but oh well. Dont get too bogged down, learn the basics before you try to fly the plane

Gnite

When I’m in my NVR, how do I edit the schedule to record the IVS and Motion? I don’t see any gears to edit a schedule.

Under Storage Schedule in the NVR does your page look like this? click on the event type in this case IVS and then click and drag on the screen to change from not with a line to one with a line?

This
Recording schedule is on the NVR under “storage”
That’s about the only setting you make in the NVR itself.

Sorry you are correct. This should be better to what you are working with.. Drag the line on IVS copy to the rest of the days bottom right copy to the channels you want setup the same way. Will also want to make changes to your snapshot in same way..

Good Day
