Not motion detection Triguer _! Help ! DS-2CD3345 4MP from amazon

Motion is triggered within Blue Iris...not within the camera. You need to PUT A CHECKMARK in Trigger > Sources > "Motion Sensor" and also make certain that the camera's Schedule (or a Global Schedule) is not disabling recording.

FYI, OP can use the cameras motion detection (though blue iris is much better). To do this, in picture 3, use the find inspect button which will pull the onvif profile and then select "get events with pull point"

Bro...he's a tick mark (and schedule check) away from record-on-motion success and you sent him into the firmware jungle where the tigers roam. :)

is reliable to use BI motion detector than camera ? i was also worried about save CPU usage.

Until now I'm impressive about all BI can do for $60

Its much better than the cameras motion detection and much more customizable.
 
+1 Use Blue Iris motion detection: it works very well Andreszz
 
sorry to hijack, what is the difference between the DS-2CD3345 and DS-2CD2345 ?

only indoor vs outdoor ? ip66 or not basically ?

I tried, thanks for the link, , I seen it before and yes it is a good guide. Although it did not address my question. more precisely what the first "3" stands for but I guess it is a 2-line indoor version ?
