The problem is how to trip the Airhorn only on substantial dock motion?

Home Assistant paired with a Shelly Plus 1 allows for endless possibilities. I’m sure there’s a 3-axis gyro sensor that could be attached to the dock to sense movement. May not be able to catch minor hits without false alarms from wind but I bet it doesn’t shake like that during most storms

Yeah I want something that would require a good hit such as that last one

My old car alarm that I installed back in 1975 had a motion sensor that you wired in. I think it was a mercury switch like they had in the old time Honeywell house thermostats. It was adjustable for how much motion would trigger it. I bet you could find one on Amazon.

A fishing weight suspended by a copper wire that passes through
an other piece of wire bent in a circle. One wire + the other wire -..
Adjust circle size and closeness to the weight will determine sensitivity. (CHEAP)

Stooopid bastid almost hit it again with the stern when he goosed the throttle and steered hard to starboard.

It IS against the law to be piloting a boat in FL when intoxicated, right? Is there any kind of marine patrol -type LEO on that waterway?

There's a new Big Yellow arrow sign on the opposite side facing where he hit, within 2 ft.
There's also a small mail type box and a sign above it with an arrow pointing at the box that says "Dock Repair Fund"

So for me both of those vids stop playing at around 3-5 secs.

hmmm they are full 4K 16MB bitrate and 30FPS so on some machines it may need to buffer?
That and too many 4K videos on the overall page... I may have to start linking them out

Being in the Mobile Electronics for many years one of the reasons I used cameras so much was my stores.. Motion sensor and Mercury sensor were a couple of different things.. Normally motion was either air change from cabin pressure and or beam sensors that detected changes in the reflections with in an area. Mercury was more for tilting for anti jacking or one would mount on hood and trunk for detection if they were opened.. There are some others that came later that was great for DEI called a proximity sensor where you could leave your windows down and if someone reached into your car or even got close without touching it, it would do a warn away, You are to close to the vehicle move away then if you reached in the car it would go off.. Then people that lived on hills could have issues with Mercury switches because of the hill so then adding in just a switch was better for that however required drilling a hole in the area for the switch to be installed..
