NVR4108-8P-4KS2 Firmware update. Is it safe?

Hi. I´m a new member..

And thinking to update a NVR4108-8P-4KS2 through SMART PSS.


The firmware on the recorder is in this hour: Build 2017-12-09

And the downloaded version is DH_NVR4XXX-4KS2_Eng_V3.216.0000000.0.R.180605


Is this the right version (Should be after my opinion), and is this safe to update from SMART PPS from a remote location?

My thoughts are that ALL setting would remain??

Why do you want to upgrade ? What problem is this upgrade going to fix ?
If it is not broken why fix it?

I'm that person who likes that hardware is up to date (but not for any cost) and therefore this Q

Gonna C if i can read more post on the forum about problems from a FW update.
