Package Thief

Alot of them follow UPS and FedEx trucks waiting for a drop. I happen to be driving home one day. The UPS guy was three or so cars in front of me. UPS, myself, and another car both turned down my street. I know all my neighbors cars and the escape was not one of them. When UPS stopped, dropped, and drove off the escape stopped about three houses down. I pulled into my drive and watch this guy backup and run to the front porch to steal it. Called it in with plate. Wish I knew the outcome but I glad I did my part.

I'm pretty sure you will score with those images. Good job.

thats what he is driving, so ya should be able to get p.d. on his ass real quick.

Unfortunately, the cops won't do squat in California. I had great video of a guy stealing packages off my porch. I put it on Facebook and he was identified the same day. The cops wouldn't do anything unless the contents of the packages were worth more than $950.00 (grand theft in CA).

Now, if I had caught the guy and beat the shitake mushrooms out of him, they would have responded and taken my ass to jail.

If the cops wont do anything about it then Try calling UPS, and advising them, then maybe they can get the ball rolling on getting this ahole stopped.
Used to have a friend who was a cop, too bad hes not one anymore, I could've asked him to run the plate and get ya the info.

Time for the citizens of your city to become a pain in the ass for the mayor, city council, local prosecutor and the police chief.

For some reason, our database will not give us an address for this tag, maybe something with California laws.

That is correct. I lived in CA from fall of '74 to Spring of '04 and recall the stalking death of actress-model Rebecca Schaeffer in '89. Her murder led the state to pass a law so that private parties could not obtain names and addresses from DMV records using a vehicle license plate.

More info ==>> here.

Detective came by and made me do a digital line up. I didn't pick the person they know is associated with the car. If I had they would have issued an assert warrant that day. They are still trying to track her down. IDK why I need to pass the line up, anyone can look at the picture and say yes, that's the girl that's associated with the criminal owner of the car. I'm pretty pissed and knew that I wasn't going to be able to do the line up.

That database is sweet. Can you tell from any previous pictures if that car ever had white side mirrors? at the end of 2016 a car almost exactly like this one was captured on camera in the neighborhood racing away from a home burglary. The only difference in the car was it had white side mirrors and in mine it has black.

Can you tell if both mirrors were white or just one? If one, Which one, passenger or driver?

Looks like both mirrors. The front rims in the old picture are also different.

Kind of looks like duct tape holding the right hand mirror on in the OP's camera snapshot!

I agree, it also looks like similar damage to the front bumper on the passenger side under the headlight. Let me look at a few more pics. The search costs us $25 bucks and I think I've done three so far.

Didn't mean to cost you $$. I assumed you had some type of subscription plan for a service.

I think we do. We pay a flat rate per month. If we use more we pay a little more, and catching bad guys is what its for anyways. No sweat, hopefully we can come up with something to catch this dick.

Thanks for all this @bababouy,
If it comes down to it, start a PayPal link, I'll kick in $5 if it would help put his ass and his cronies up for a few nights at the 'Graybar Hotel'.

It looks like this tag was on a white pontiac in 2011 and 2012. Then the tag was on a hyundai in 2014 - the end of 2016. In 2016, its back on the same or similar white pontiac. The map shows the car was photo graphed three times in 2011 at this address in Fresno, CA, while it was parked on the street. I.m looking at the recent pics now.
