People can mask USPS AI detections

Anybody have a USPS.onnx file they'd be willing to share? I've tried using the delivery.onnx file with CPAI for detecting my mail delivery, but it doesn't seem to be very reliable. It consistently identifies truck tail lights as a usps logo.

Wonder if trying a different model size would help...

With the help from some on this forum, I have two cloned cameras. One is called USPS and when it sees the logo, an event waits 4 seconds then triggers the other cloned camera called Mail. If Mail sees the USPS logo I know that the mailman stopped at our mail box.

Yes and no. Everytime a car passes my house AI triggers a virtual switch in Hubitat. The virtual switch is connected to Home Assistant which counts the number of on/off instances and stores that number in its database. From there I use Grafana to graph the data. It sounds complicated, but it's really not.

resurrecting an old thread here but am implementing a car counter myself. currently running into an issue where my counts are not representative, because BI only alerts on a single confirmed car - even if there are multiple in the image. i live near a school and at drop-off/pickup times there are four or five cars going past my house in quick succession (traversing my area of interest in the matter of 5-10 seconds). BI only records one or maybe 2 cars in this case depending on their spacing and timing.

Zone AEZone CEZone BE

I'm interested in direction as well, so I'm triggering on A>C and B>C. Zone E spans the entire street AOI (ACE) and I analyze with AI in Zone E.

how do you account for this issue? any recommended trigger/alert/AI settings to resolve this? thanks!

Have you tried adjusting your make time?

Even though I have a lot of traffic on my street I typically don’t have more than two cars in a frame at any given time.

I have BlueIris and Rekor ALPR running on the same camera. BlueIris doesn't do half as well as Rekor unfortunately.

You may have better luck counting day plates / night plates than vehicles.
