Plane down in DC

Always the possibility that the helicopter pilot ran into the plane on purpose.

So sad....I hate to see/hear this sort of thing.

Totally unrelated but I couldn't help but notice in the last video of bigredfish's post in #1.....what's that guy got on his head?

In America VIP Airplane / Helicopter accident goes down with no VIPs onboard,
In Russia VIPs goes down onboard without accident.

conspiracy writer in my mind was thinking VIPs like Kamala or Trump would have been onboard of those flights .. that would make quite a hollywood movie

Weird how the flight path of the Helo goes, especially in the last few seconds before the crash

By no means an expert, but sad nonetheless.
Looks like the UH60 dropped in altitude just prior to approaching the CRJ, indicating possible deliberate action to avoid collision. Likely means the CRJ had lost visual of the UH60 at that close range. Unfortunately, the CRJ was descending on final and were both at the same altitude when they crossed paths. UH60 is more maneuverable and should have taken more evasive action or simply stopped forward progress. UH60 training flight implies it might have not been an experienced crew. Clearly the CRJ had right of way. Of course it could have been deliberate by the UH60 pilot, in which case we all need to worry.

Saw a post by a guy who said he worked with the crew current.
Said the pilot had 1000 hrs, copilot-who was on the training focus, 500 hrs (female) and Crew Chief 1000 hrs
Also said they were indeed wearing NVGs

Do NVG reduce visibility of normal wing or landing lights?

I think I read that even though the two aircraft were in the same airspace, they were on different ATC frequencies. ATC tried to contact the UH60, but from the transcripts and audio, ATC never received an acknowledgement from the UH60 pilot.
