Playback Issues

Been running in CONTINUOUS RECORDING mode for a while now, but none of the recordings play in either the console or Android app.

I'm recording in BVR mode and writing direct to disc.

I also create new video files every hour or 1Gb,whichever is first.

What am I doing wrong please?

I also don't see any motion detection events on the timeline.

what error do you get?
to see motion events to you need to enable motion detection...it will still record continuously.

No error and I have motion detection enabled.

When I open the app, I see my cameras listed and on the right is an image with a number on, so I assume clips to play.

When I click on it, nothing happens, other than showing be a still image. No video plays.

See attached image for info. It shows 25, but only 6 clips.

Thoughts please.

those are alerts not clips...if you are not seeing video you like have something set wrong...post images of your record settings.

Check the stored folder to you see video files? make sure the admin user has permissions to view recorded video.

Yes, there are BVR files there.

Blue Iris admin user, or PC?

PC only has one account, the admin account.

You can't see anything wrong in the RECORDING or ALERT tabs?

if you click on those files do they play?
check in blue iris options>users...make sure all users can play back files including admin.
try unchecking store hi res alert...

also ensure you have enough storage space and that the video is not being deleted before you view it....how much storage have you allocated in the clips tab for the stored folder?

Yes, they play fine in the BI console.

They so play in MPC-HC.

OK, HI-RES image un-checked.

Only one Admin account, which can do everything.

1536Gb storage allocated, with ~4.5Tb total free.

All clip folders point to the same folder. I don't do any moving or encoding.

OK, perhaps the app isn't very intuitive, but if I open the camera in the app and then click on the calender icon, I see dates with a red tick on, which when I open the date, shows me clips for that camera.

When selected, they play OK.

Is this the only way to see them in the app, via the calender?

Still not getting very far with this.

When email notification is enabled, I get an email with 2 images attached.

If I enable the app notification, I get a notification on my phone.

When I open the app, there is nothing in the alerts page.

I'm also still not getting the little red triangle on the recording timeline in the console.

So, what am I going wrong please?
