Port 554 RSTP - what actually flows over this?

Hi all - first real post, please go easy

Just getting a Hikvision cam setup. I configured port forwarding in my Mikrotik and have the app and web access working properly.

Utilizing both live and recorded playback - I do not see any packets flowing over this port. What is it used for? If it is not used in my setup I would prefer to close the port.

Welcome to the forum...554 is the rtsp port and generally used to transmit video to third party VMS applications.
The hikvsion mobile apps use the media port 8000. You should only need to forward port 8000 for remote viewing.
