Big update, actually mounted a few.
Unfortunately I only had a few hours today.
I was pleasantly surprised that the new mount bases are similar to that one above.
Having installed residential and commercial cctv for a few years these were by far the best mount system I've seen. It had a base that had 3 prongs. The camera surround goes on the prongs and then slides to lock it into place. It was very tight and secure. A push of the tab and it allowed it to slide right off when needed. The camera adjustment was also easy with a set screw on the back side.
I will say, the only visual complaint I have is a white piece of foam that is visible.
If it were mine I'd take a sharpie to it.
Anyway,
I terminated both ends of 6 wires and installed 6 cameras. Terminated a couple data wires inside for hard data for their whopping 2mbps. Yes.... it's that bad.
Anyway, the black cameras blend in very well on the brown soffit.
Check it out.
