I'm trying to connect to NAS from browser interface (IE11). I go to storage, storage management and click on the "Net HDD" tab. Whenever I try to add my NAS it returns the error "Domain error".

Mounting type "SMB/CIFS", then I put in the user name and password hit test and get the error

I can access this network storage device via Windows file explorer just fine. Any ideas?

Device type DS-2CD2342WD-I
Firmware: V5.5.0 build 170725

A screenshot of your settings would help, in particular to see what the file path setting is.

At a Windows PC command prompt, try :
net view \\<NAS_IP_address> /all
to see what the offered share paths are.

i have just had to redo mine today as I was messing around with the cam.

My setup gives error "Mounting to NAS server failed. No permission." if your give same error just save ignore and format

I am not using mine for recording so its not formatted

Picking up where I left off in July! I've triple checked the server address and password but no luck.
I can access the NAS from windows file explorer without any problems.
I get the error "Mounting to NAS server failed. Invalid directory or incorrect user name/password"

From windows file explorer here is the drive:

Now I realise that when I hit save on the "Net HDD tab" - even with error, it still shows up on the "HDD Management" tab although status is offline.

Is the drive supposed to be formatted to a specific type?
