Professional video doorbell for a Small Business

Has anyone found a good solution to a professional video doorbell for a small business? GRANDSTREAM IP Video Door System seems promising at first glance, but others don’t seem to like it. As far as I know we are still suck with the Ring lineup, which is decent for various situations, but does not.

1) Allow for 24/7 live viewing to a tablet at the reception desk in any way that works (as far as I know). This is the key missing piece.

2) Does not allow for NVR recording

3) Requires a subscription to get recordings of any type, but not continuous stream, only triggered events.


Required features:

1) Live viewing of the camera feed during working hours to a tablet

2) Button trigger to something (an app running on the tablet would be ideal, but a mechanical switch could be made to work one way or another)



Desired features

1) Two way intercom (duplex sound with decent speaker and MIC)

2) Ideally can be steamed to NVR (Blue Iris, Duhua, Android, other)


Note: Anything under $1k is worth considering here

The only negative that I found thus far is its low light performance (without LED illumination) 2lux, which should not be an issue in a well lit hallway.

Dont put too much weight on the lux rating, you cannot compare manufactures ratings to each other. Axis is just being more honest than the others.
Its about 700 or so online. There is a used one for about 500 on amazon.

Just an idea (but not sure about pricing): what about something like the VTO1220 system? source: VTO1220A, Apartment Outdoor Station

Advantage on your requirements:
- live view possible on tablet and stand-alone screen (called VTH)
- push notifications on tablet/phone
- does not require NVR (but an NVR can register streams)

Plus:
- add's mifi card system
- has "voice mail system" capabilities
- can ring multiple apartments

Cons: I don't know if it fits your budget! Sorry!

It turns out the $500 used one from Amazon was gone today, so i ordered one from Ebay. I will see how it goes. It has lots of features that i wont need (at least at first).

@catcamstar , The Dahua one is enormous, like the VE model appears to be from Axis. I would like to see Dahua and Hikvision have an offering like the AXIS A8105-E Network Video Door Station, or at least a better version of the Ring Pro. The Ring Elite is a joke.

Lol, but "huge" equals "professional", no? ;) I have the VTO2000A:

Which can also be "built-in" the wall. I find the bell you linked to "too slim", looks like these cheap $10 from the discounter :) But that's subjective taste :)

Personally I would try the Grandstream first. It checks all the boxes, and its from a SIP company.
 
Hello,
Does anybody know of a video intercom system (SIP, IP) for a multi-tenant office building? In our case 3 tenants. While we like the Axis product it appears to assume a single-tenant user. And we prefer not to have to hang labels around the system instructing people to dial number 123 for tenant 1 and number 456 for tenant 2, etc..

It explains the cardinality between the VTO-VTH combinations (Villa versus apartment). All these VTH's do have phonebook capability so you can dial "another" user.

In my personal setup, I "only" use 2 VTO2000A and 1 VTH1550 ([Review] VTO2000A & VTH1550CH & VTNS1060A Intercom Kit) however there are newer models available which do not require this "dahua specific" POE switch or have much fancier (eg with handheld) screens.

PS. I ordered these things alongside with many IPC from @EMPIRETECANDY , very happy with it!
