I need a recommendation for a cam to observe a racoon problem I am having.
I'm targeting with a cam that would mount about 2' above ground (maybe a foot higher ?, this way I'm under the canopy ) 2 mango trees, 1 @ 15' straight out, another at 35' out and to the right about 10' or so.
It would do its job at night time, and plenty dark.
It would need to pick up the critters and alert me in blue iris.
I have an ir blaster, a tendelux B18 in the area, that happens to be positioned right above this planned new location that I could use. Should I place this blaster in another spot to help this cam out?
I have a 5442 and a 5231 a hundred feet back that alerted me to the problems, now I want some up clear up close observance.
I'm thinking another 5442 , maybe the 3.6mm. model. - something else? I don't need audio, but I want the best picture possible.
What do you think ? -
another course of action: remove a 5231 at the house and use that, and replace the house one with a 5442. Those things are nice.
