camera.jpg Hello everybody,

I'm from the Netherlands and i have two Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I installed.
Now the synology records every person that moves in the picture.
But now the problem. At night it records bigg time.
I see something like snow or rain but it isn't rain..
How can i fix it ?? wrong settings.

Enyone a idea ?

Greetings Stefan

Looks like fog. The IR sensors on the camera are very sensitive and they are able to display and even magnify particles that the naked eye can't see. I sometimes see the same thing with my cameras. My cameras at times display pollen, dust, Noseeums (very small biting bugs that we can't see), very thin spider webs, water mist from a neighbor's water sprinkler etc.
There is not much that could be done in regards.
:)

I get that sometimes too, I just assumed it could be a swarm of small insects?

I would say that could be fog, smoke (from chimney?), steam (from hot water exhaust), mist from water sprinkler or pollen. My opinion, it's too dense to be small insects.

Yes it's fog, nothing to do about it i thing.
I played with the setup..

If this is a daily problem put external light, disable IR, problem solved.

Yup - definitely fog. Or more likely mist, which we have a lot of in the UK just now.
For Hik bullets it only needs a very light mist for the close tiny water particles to show up brightly in the IR that surrounds the lens.
Similar on domes.
Less effect on turrets, and as @klasipca says external IR and IR off on the cam and you would not know it's there.
