Over the last month, daily I'll notice cameras freezing (generally a random camera freezes). This happens about 4 times per 24 hours, usually each time is a different camera.
When I right click and Restart the camera, it works perfectly again.
This started happening about a month or two ago.

Each camera has the Watchdog setting to reboot camera and restart after 5 timeouts. This doesn't seem to have any effect.
BI is up to date.
Hard drives have 30% free space.

Anyone experience this or have any ideas what is causing this?

Cams are connected to switch, switch is connected to router. BI Server direct to router. Should the server also be on the switch? Previously ran this setup about 2 years with no issues.

Okay, so I corrected the setup yesterday, now the server is direct to the switch, along with all the other cameras.
This morning, one camera is frozen at about midnight last night.

Majority of them are IPC-HDW4433, one SD29204t-gn.
Yesterday I completely reinstalled BI, and still having the issue.
Pingtrace doesn't show any packet loss.

If I log into the camera's web view, the video is showing a live image, yet BI still shows the paused image.

Are files being created on the BI server , for the time the video is frozen ?

What is your network topology ?

No recording takes place for the frozen camera during the time. Other cameras work fine.

Cameras to a switch, bi server to the switch.
Previously ran the switch and bi into a router for 2 years with no issues but recently removed to see if that was the cause.

I ended up changing the Hardware Accelerated Decode from Intel to Intel Beta, and so far I've been issue free for a few days.
