CodeProject is the 3rd party AI that is a compliment to BI that a member here trained a model to see plates and it will then allow you to have loose motion zones and let AI determine if that motion was a plate or shadow. If it is a plate it is considered a confirmed alert and then that image can be sent to Plate Recognizer.
I have that installed, but haven't used it yet. Or maybe I tried it and it got me confused, which is not unusual.
Is there a thread on setting it up to help with plates?

Oh yeah... actually had that turned on for a short time... resource hog of sorts.
Got it setup just like he has it... we'll see how well it does... and I've enlarged my A and B motion areas.
However... I've done something to make all my cameras disappear on the Blue Iris program. I have a big black screen. I can double click it and see them full screen, but then escape brings me back to the black screen.

Restarted my computer and it's back... dunno.
Apparently, one of those settings that I copied over this morning knocked out all my alert snapshots... as I haven't had an alert since.
If I have Codeproject running, do I need to make sure it's also tracking vehicles and humans, not just plates?
Something else is going on... nothing has been recorded since this morning, either.
I have no idea what I did. I did not change any settings, but I was just looking around, and at 8:08 PM CST, all the cameras started recording again.

I can uncheck this button and I get snapshots without vehicles. Rekor just picked up a car, but PR missed it with a snapshot of the area, no vehicle.

Rekor will pick up the car because it is analyzing the video stream.
Plate Recognizer will attempt to read a plate for any image sent to it, whether a plate is there or not, and BI only sends one image per "event", so if the motion detection isn't set up correctly for your field of view to have the plate in view, then it will come back empty.
You have a tight field of view with a less than ideal angle, so I suspect that when BI detects motion and takes the image, the vehicle is out of view.
You first need to get BI to consistently show in the alerts the backend of the vehicle before you start messing with Plate Recognizer or you will blow thru the 2500 images per month.
So turn off LPR stuff (Rekor is fine to keep going since that is outside of BI) and then what do your alert thumbnails look like? Are they mostly blank or are you getting the plate in the image?

Not getting any alerts in BI for that camera. Getting a few clips here and there with nothing in them.
The first pic is what I'm working with zoomed out, but it's my understanding that you need to be zoomed in close for tags... did I understand that wrong?
