That is not the point...there is NO WAY you got a free camera simply out of the goodness of a china sellers heart. There is way more to this story that you are not telling us. NO ONE else has had the same luck as you do....seems strange..
point is buyers must assume no warranty from aliexpress...

Your the best , I do have ability to get what I want every time is seems. I just speak nicely to them and say "Friend" alot while naturally mentioning this site and that they would not want the wrath of Fenderman upon them !

Dont believe you for a second...there are MANY other users who had improx/huisun failures. NONE of them received cameras. Please.

thank you all for your feedback. it looks like for my need of support and peace of mind, my only option would be hikvision via nelly's or milkisbad. if it were just me, i'd jump in a take a risk with dahua and aliexpress. i just don't want there to be a chance of something going wrong and there's no fallback leading to my gf making a claim of "you see what happens when you go the cheap route and buy directly from china?"

despite having no support you are better off with the dahua starlight...its that much better....its not the cheap route, its more expensive than hikvision standard cams but its a MUCH better camera.

decisions decisions. i just read nayr's review of the new dahua varifocal starlight turret and i want it! can you recommend a good Dahua NVR for a 6-8 cam setup? i see some NVR are dual-core and quad-core. will i benefit from a quad-core NVR? thanks.

I dont use standalone NVR's....there is a popular unit nayr recommends..you can find it in some of his posts.

I also wish there was a reliable Dahua dealer to check out. Nellys used to carry Dahua, but had several problems as a dealer and has stopped carrying the line.

For our company, this year, i do only 3-4 replacement for the users in USA, last week we ship a new NVR41xx to USA, because this client bought a new one broken in weeks, i change a new one for him, the defective one i ask them ship to one of my client in FL. They will help me ship back to hk in one time. Very helpful, but actually speaking, all the device are tested before the shipping. So very very small qty has problem. And cheap Chinese models from dahua i don't suggest you guys to buy anymore, next year dahua will make some limits for the using them in overseas, some guys may know Hikvision already do this. Dahua will also do this next time.
HDW5231R-Z is a latest new one, or else i can ship very fast.3-5 days to USA via DHL. epacket is good if you don't need them urgently, but hard to track anyway.

That was the key points to buying Dahua over Hik at this moment was that Dahua did not play those games I guess time will tell.
