reset password help

So a few things.. Normally a DVR/NVR will have a reset button. Some of the newer units or lower priced ones they omitted these and in the software of the DVR/NVR they have added in an Email or QR Code system that someone can use to reset the devices password if one is forgotten.. So I don't know if the area where admin and password is if that Lack of Authority is a clickable area where it would give you a QR code and send you a reset code to your setup email.. If it is that is what I would try.. The device seems that it don't have a Reset button but may have a button spot the issue is that if it is the area on the PCB that I think it is then the reset of the reset circuit is missing as well. So even if you were to fit a button in the location it wouldn't function as one might wish because the micro SMD parts of the circuit is also missing.. So my guess on top of all that seeing they don't want a Button for Reset that even if the right type SMD parts were added it would be locked out by the chip anyway seeing most times there is other things in the circuit to the chip that would pull it down to ground to disable the function anyway..
So in the many DVR/NVRs that I own and use I have a few that don't have a Reset Button and in fact would require a person to click on the Forgot Pasword. to get it to a point where I can answer 3 questions to prove that the device is mine. If I setup questions. No questions setup then I would have needed to add a email to reset the DVR/NVR in case of forgotten password. Only one that don't seem to do this is my Ezviz 16ch POE NVR, This one I just click the button and scan the code with my Ezviz app and it sends the reset code to my app to give me the ability to reset the password..

It looks like the device has a serial console UART available - the 3 holes near the center of your image, marked G (ground) T(transmit) and R (receive).
If you hook up a serial TTL to USB convertor (suggest a PL2303-TA based one) you might be lucky and find a command to clear the configuration in the bootloader.
