Courtesy of @EMPIRETECANDY we have this cam to look over. It's a beast of a bad boy.
Please keep this thread on topic!

Note, This camera requires POE++ to operate, it will NOT work on a simple POE+ power supply.
Such as this one. or with a POE++ 60watt rated switch.
It would also be recommended that you use AWG23 sized ethernet cable, if the run would be more than 50ft.
No CCA cable, flat cable or other such nonsense.

I originally thought I would mount this puppy on my 2nd story roof, but the size and weight of it when it arrived changed my mind.
So it's mounted on my fence instead. Google maps says that it is 638ft from the mounting point to the stop sign you will see in the videos.

A couple of notes:
Shipping Firmware used is V2.820.0000019.0.R, Build Date: 2022-08-05
Just like in the other cameras using this new Web5.0 gui, the day/night change over does not work if you have the time set to 12hrs.
Can't change day to night with the API either.
The Web5.0 still sucks.
I've not had any real issues with it besides the day/night change over issue other than once or twice IVS rules would stop working after a time. But that has seemed to clear up after a couple of factory defaults.

On with some pictures.

Installation pics.
You hang the cam with the tether, then set the main part of the camera into the hing you see. Then rotate the cam up and tighten four screws on the dome to secure it.
SD card and reset are located in the removable panel on the back of main camera assembly.

Thank you so much looney2ns, Andy and samplenhold for making this review and sharing possible. It's such an eye candy watching the videos of this amazing camera. The day time image is almost perfect like in person with full screen, and the zoom to focus were instantaneous. The auto tracking were also very smooth as well. Looking forward to the night time video later.

I need 10 of these for my giant mansion when I win the Mega million lottery next time!:D

Thanks @samplenhold and @looney2ns , this is a nice chance to do a real show of the best PTZ with the 1/1.2cmos on the market. Best for some project which need the fantastic day and night pics with powerful lens. It's a big guy, so need double check before you buy it. :D Big=powerful, lol.
Next Anniversay sales will be in July, will have the lottery! See you soon in July.

That would have been fantastic to win as a prize. Have the perfect spot for it, but $2k + is out of my range. lol..
I'll live through others on this one. :)
It's also out of my price range as my next ptz upgrade budget is set around $500-$800 range.

The SD8C845FG-HNF is no doubt a great camera to have if you have the money and space for it.
For a small house with this big ptz will be like a woman wearing a 10 lbs earring in a crowded bus
in my neighborhood. :)

I've had this camera for a while now and its my favorite.

One thing I could never get working was the IR/white light setttings. They don't seem to stick for me.
I have a perfectly working reolink ptz that is flawless with holding the IR/white light settings.

Even trade if you pay shipping both ways :lmao:

All kidding aside lol, and I am sure you have heard this, but are you using Internet Explorer and not some other browser with IE compatibility mode?

Here's a day clip showing how well the auto tracking stays on point even through the trees. I plan on trimming those trees a bit soon.
Very nice. Looks like you have it configured perfectly. Stays zoomed far out enough that it still picked them up when they appeared on the other side of the tree.

BTW, are those the HOA hosses looking for infractions?

Here it is on front of house. It’s a bit too obvious for my taste. Wanted to paint it brown but that voids the warranty.
Not sure what those lookie-loos were pointing at.
Maybe you can do what Parley did with his "tree" camera camouflage here but instead use Waterproof brown wallpaper?
