Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

You're on the same levels as me now. I wonder if you're still having more than 2x zoom on autotracking? And there is a new feauture called 'PTZ Limit' (see below). I guess this is what destroyed my zoom function, so be carefull with that.

Finally had a car come by and there wasn't any difference in the zoom. I would guess it's been about 4-5 clicks of the zoom button.

Click download tab, then firmware tab.
SD59225U-HNI

that's where I got it, so now, when I try to upgrade the firmware it goes all the way almost to the end of the yellow status and then just sits there, so I dunno what is going on, I probably have to just crack the camera open and reset it at this point then connect my laptop and upgrade firmware that way but since people are sill complaining about the march 2017 version I don't think I'm gonna bother trying to upgrade to that anymore and just worry about it if another version comes out.

Well I don't have any issues with the new firmware. Auto tracking working the same and like I said before I now have access to the "Conditions" settings of the camera in SmartPSS now. Also zooming and panning is much faster now, and night vision is now looking like a Starlight should.

Was able to quickly reset and try to upgrade the firmware, it kept doing that thing where the status bar stalls near the end, I left it while we go do some stuff, doubt it will be finished when I get home, maybe my current version of the firmware hates the newest version I dunno, little worrying.

I found his name from a previous conversation with him lol waiting to hear back, it's very strange that it sometimes goes through the entire process and then boots up with the same stupid firmware it had before, but most of the time it just stalls. I've done a full reset on the camera too, no difference. I'm gonna be kinda bummed if I can never upgrade the firmware, but I don't have a different version to try,

I upgraded to the March 2017 firmware and PTZ software without problems. I tried both the PAL version and the NTSC version. Both installed without problem.

I tried to upgrade to DH_SD-Eos_EngSpn_N_Stream3_V2.422.0000.8.R.20170315.bin twice now and after it boots back up it still shows the firmware from "2.420.0000.9.R.2512, Build Date: 2016-07-12" so not sure what the hell is up with that, it goes through the whole process, didn't try the PAL version, hoping I don't have to like, reset the camera.
Try shutting down all recording to the cam before upgrading.
