Review-OEM 4mp AI Cam IPC-T5442TM-AS Starlight+

That's a good DIY you did. Next time though, I still recommend the OEM junction box :) . The PFA139 Dahua junction boxes are generally made out of metal and go for around $6-$10 on Amazon. You can avoid Home Depot altogether to avoid exposure to the virus :D

I found a weatherproof electrical box from Homedepot for about $7.91 that I was able to simply modify it to fit for my cameras. See photo

That is the one I picked up, but the plugs are already filled as shown in the photo below.

Any issue using the on an outside exposed wall? PDF shows it as ceiling mount and the PFB204W for wall mount.

I'd prefer to use the junction box and don't know how I would run cable to the PFB204W.

With the PFA130-E what are people using for connecting conduit? I would like something that screws into the junction box and I can then connect to the 3/4" schedule 40 PVC I'm using. Adding a reducing/enlarging coupling isn't an issue.

Would something like this work?

Thanks.

Since I didn't get a response I don't want someone reading my previous post and making the mistake I made, the Junction box thread is 3/4", not sure where on the forum I read 1/2". I needed to re-order and the 3/4" works well. Don't know why I didn't look for or couldn't find the spec sheet and saved myself the trouble.

Just get a 3/4 by 1/2 reducing bushing at your local big box or electrical supply.

If this was intended for me, per my post that is what I just did as well as a 3/4” x 3/4”.

You got lucky.

Maybe you have an Amazon warehouse near you. :)

I have placed an order for a printer, on 3/29 and it shows a 4/26 delivery date.

@Schnoidz - When that new camera gets out of quarantine, please share the firmware version. Curious what's loaded. Thanks!

BTW - I checked out a few of your pig videos on your Youtube channel. Interesting! Your minivan carpool gives a whole new meaning to "bringing home the bacon".

I already updated the camera to the latest firmware from Andy but I think what came with it was dated from November 2019. Andy is supposed to update the firmware this week.

Yes, it can be interesting having a house full of pigs. It's raining now so one of them is asleep on my waterbed.

Amazon is back to fast shipping. I ordered another "Loryta IPC-T5442TM-AS 3.6mm" today and it will be delivered on Thursday.
It's the 2.8mm that is hard to get. I ordered two from Amazon and then later they were out of stock, so I ordered two more from AliExpress. The packaging from AliExpress was different, but the camera is the same, all came with the Nov 2019 firmware. I would like to get one more camera, but I was thinking about getting the 3.6mm... just wish I could see the difference first in the lens. The 2.8mm lens seem to have a curvature to the image and 3.6mm may have less or none.

I'd clicked on REORDER from my order history on Amazon. The first one I'd purchased was the 2.8mm and I didn't notice that the one they took me to was the 3.6mm until after it had shipped. It's fine with me and I can use the narrower view without problems. After I realized I'd ordered the 3.6 I checked again to see if Amazon had the 2.8 or the 6 and they had neither.

hi guys, does any one knows where is the reset button inside of this camera , i can't see it, a pic will be great thanks in advanced
