RJ45 splitter work for 2 cameras on 1 cat5e cable?

Looking at having 2 cameras installed next to each other but only having 1 cat5e cable in the zone.

Can I use one of these lan splitters? Will it work for both cams? Note not POE. Just standard 12v powered Ezviz C3N cams

Yes, in that scenario it should work. Just recognize that these would have to be indoors. So if one is outdoor or you may decide to need POE in the future, the other option would be the better choice.

I'll have the exterior one inside a waterproof box so will be fine. I'll give them a go.

a couple of years ago. Not using them anymore, but i used a couple for about two years without any problems. Works with 2 cams, both poe. You also have to use a set, so it will take up 2 ports on your switch. Also see this thread: POE Over Cat5e to Switch Help.

Keep in mind that the port on the PoE switch that this is plugged into needs to be PoE+ rated, 15 watts, minimum and can vary depending of the load of the cameras. For example you wouldn't want to use a PTZ and a regular camera with one of these. Also the total power budget of the switch can be important.
