Hello everyone,

Trying to get my parents NVR set up in blue iris so they only have one system. They just purchased a rraycom nvr and I am having trouble getting the setting right for blue iris to talk to it. The rraycom is not in compatibility list so everything has to be manually figured out.

I am point blue iris to the nvr.

port numbers are

http: 82
TCP: 8000
UDP: 8001
RTP/RTSP: 554
RTP URL: rtsp://[IP]:[Port]/H264?ch=[*]&subtype=[*]

Anyone have any ideas?

First youre going to want to check your camera streams load in vlc player using the rtsp stream.

It should ask for the username and pasword and show you the stream

If it works there that same url should work in blue iris just fine. If it does not work in there you may have to enter the username and password in the rtsp stream. Double check that in vlc player as well

Also with the rtsp stream i can obviously put the internal ip address. I am assuming the port number is the rtsp port number maybe the http. I am not sure what to do with the /H264?ch=[*]&subtype=[*]

They don't want to rerun wires... and are about to leave for Florida. Otherwise I would push them into returning the nvr.

Google vlc media player and install it. You will enter these streams under network stream in there.

Rtsp://ip:554/h264?ch=( camera 1,2,3 etc) sub type i would say is 0 for main stream and 1 for sub. You want the main high quality one

If its a nvr the cameras are already ip but possible bowered by the camera system via poe or 12v adapters. You sure its not a dvr?

Coax bnc connectors. They are leaving saturday and the dvr died a few days ago. I am two hours away so i am not pulling wires in 0 degree temperature to switch them over. 60 dollars for a new dvr box is working out.
