I cannot get Foscam camera (FI9961-EP) to connect to Dahua NVR.
Wondering if I can get some additional information (logs? debugging) from the RS-232 port.
I am looking for some information to get started down this path.
Has anyone done this? Any advice?

TIA, Ron

I should add some context
Both Foscam and Dahua claim they are ONVIF compliant.
The nice thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from.
It seems like they have both selected different ONVIF standards.
The ONVIF Device Manager doesn't event see the Foscam camera.
My hope is that I can learn something from the output on the Dahua NVR.
Something that will allow me to setup both the Dahua NVR and the Foscam so they work together.

In which case the place to start is the Foscam camera.
Assuming the Foscam IP address is in the same network range as the PC IP address. What are their IP addresses?
If not, neither ODM nor the NVR will find the camera.

ODM doesn't depend on any specific version of ONVIF in order to find the device on the LAN.
The discovery phase is the most basic of all the interactions.

I agree. I have a case open with Foscam and they have all the details they need.
But no engineers to look at the case till Monday.
Addresses are all in range. All part of a 192.168.1.0/23 network when connected to an external POE switch.

The Dahua NVR supports POE. When plugged directly into the NVR the camera is seen but the NVR cannot log in with the userid and password
It discovers the Foscam on ONVIF port 888

I have attached what the ODM provides.

That's the default ONVIF port for Foscam.

I have attached what the ODM provides.
These are manually added IP addresses.
Normally, the auto-discovery would be the population method.
Presumably when doing this, the camera was on the external PoE switch?
And the camera IP address could be reached via browser, and a ping?

All part of a 192.168.1.0/23 network when connected to an external POE switch.
Not a 192.168.1.0/24 range?

the network in my house is a /23... not a /24
no equipment should have a problem with a /23
