Hi there

I have TECHview QC-3122 camera that I would like to set up. The issue I have is that the camera comes preset with an ip address of 192.168.1.n My POE Router has an ip address in the range of 10.0.0.n

Given that it is a POE camera I don't have any way to power the camera without it being connected to the 10.0.0.n router. I'm hesitant to fiddle with the router as it is running a number of other devices.

Does anyone know if this Camera is capable of having its IP address changed to the 10.0.0.n IP range.

Assuming the camera, as most do, has a web GUI admin / configuration facility:
Plug the camera into the PoE router, plug the PC into the router also.
Change the PC IP address to, say, 192.168.1.100 (assuming it's not the same as the default address of the camera).
Use the browser (probably best with IE) to connect to http://IP_address_of_camera
where hopefully you will get a login prompt.
Log in to the camera web GUI with the default ID/password and navigate to the system / network settings and change as needed.
Change the PC IP address back to normal and check out the camera at its new address.

Thanks for your help.
I bit the bullet and pulled the network apart and did the following things.
1 switched off my dhcp server
2 set the ipaddress of a notebook to 192.168.1.200
3 reset the router and plugged the camera and the notebook into the POE router
4 after much teeth gnashing with Chrome and Edge finally determined the software would really only work properly with IE, I had to set the camera IP with in the compatibility list
5 located the camera at http://192.168.1.168
6 changed the camera IP address to static 10.0.0.254
7 switched the world off and back on
8 switched the dhcp router back on and removed the notebook static address
9 the notebook then picked up a 10.0.0.n address
10 I was able to see the camera @ http://10.0.0.254

many thanks

Peter
