setting up BI to get the actual time, not from the computer.

The BI overlay, I can set the cameras up to access the internet to get the current time

You dont want to use the blue iris overlay, use direct to disc recording to minimize cpu consumption..you can run a local time server using the timesync tool

I thought BI video recording would not s show a time stamp if using d2d?

i like to have both overlays because a couple of the cameras don't have overlays that i can access. i do have it set to d2d but i still get the time in the bottom right side. i can't find where i formatted that or even if i did.

When using direct to disk, the recorded video will not have the blue iris timestamp...you can reinsert the time stamp when exporting if you recorded to BVR format.
