Shot in the dark but...has anyone got iVMS-4500 to work with an Amazon Fire HD tab

I was using a Kindle with the Silk Browser. I plan to install BI again on a different pc and try once more. I tried landscape and portrait but could not get rid of that clips list. It could be that the older Kindle is stuck with a older version of Silk that is not updated any longer. I tried side loading two different Chrome versions, but neither was compatible. I do have one current Kindle that does work fine with Chrome, so I'll try it along with the older one. The older one will not work with Tiny Cam either. I bought 4 of those HD 8.9 units which included a ATT sim for $55 each on Amazon (Woot) two 64GB and two 32 GB units arrived. I can still return them, but see no alternatives in that price range. They are nice units, and bought for just the purpose of using them as cheap wireless monitors. They do the job using IP Cam Viewer, just extremely slow. I might return them and wait for a real Android Tablet of decent quality to go on sale.

I did ask BI support a couple of days ago, and received a response today saying that the display should go full screen in landscape orientation. On mine, the clips ribbon moved, but did not go away.

Well, I really need to know about iVMS-4500(Android, ofcourse) on the amazon firestick. Can any of you guys test it for me?
Does it work fine after sideloading it on the latest firestick?

I use IP Cam on my Amazon Fire TV (Latest) it works fine. I have no plans to tinker with it, its located in a difficult to access place, and cannot be accessed on my Network like a Kindle.

I tried iVMS on two different generation Kindle tablets, a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and a Kindle Fire HD 8" (2016) and neither would run it. I bought a cheap (relatively) Galaxy Tab A 10.1 in Thursday on sale at Costco. It runs both iVMSand iVMS HD fine, but its expensive to just use as a portable display. I plan to try it with Blue Iris and Milestone. Costco also had the Orbi Wi-Fi sets on sale, so I splurged on those to see if better Wi-Fi speeds would make a difference. So far, it does not. However, the new tablet does have 802.11AC, so I get much more speed and bandwidth as well as a signal all over my house as well as outside, so U can use wireless cams, except I do not see a selection of outdoor models with Wi-Fi, just a very few.

Thanks for your reply but can you try iVMS on the FIRESTICK? Kindle tablets are really different devices as I understand. Also, bro, what about the iVMS on the Galaxy Tab A (the ten inch variant as you say)? Is it comfortable?

I don't have a fire stick, so someone who does might comment. iVMS 4500 and 4500 HD run fine on the Galaxy Tab A. I have just 2 cams, and would like a 2 cam screen, but its single or four. I had it running for 3 or 4 hours today, and one cam stopped responding. I closed and restarted iVMS 4500 and it has been working again just fine for a hour. I'm thinking its the camera or lan link since the 2nd camera kept working fine.

I have both cams connected to my Qnap NAS, that seems to be very reliable, they never drop or freeze. However, VMobile is a issue compared to logging in with a PC and getting a clear main stream rather than the substream that Vmobile displays. I'm just using it locally and have plenty of bandwidth the see the main streams.

I have the Galaxy Tab sitting here and just saw a cat heading for the food dish on my porch in real time, (as far as motion goes). We have two wild barn cats that are mother and brother to our house cats. We managed to catch two when they were kittens and tamed them, the other two are still semi wild, they come to eat, and associate with the tame cats, so we feed them, but run if they hear us approaching a door, so we never see hem except on the surveillance camera.

Ofcourse, in the end it's always the cats! haha

Thanks for the information, bro!

Update : I bought Amazon FireStick(2017) and sideloaded iVMS-4500 HD on it. As a matter of fact that you do need a bluetooth mouse and keyboard to operate the apps not designed for the firestick so, I used mouse toggle app and used my Firestick remote as mouse and naivgated through the app. Everything seemed really fine(just like how you would feel on an android tablet/phone.) until I logged into my Hik-Cloud account and loaded the cameras up. 4 secs in and the app crashed and took me to homescreen. I could view the camera for 4 secs and then it crashed. It has crashed since. So I guess it wasn't a great idea and it exactly as happened what i didn't want. The start screen where you select the region on iVMS-4500 app requires a mouse input to operate on the stick and it's very clear that the remote doesn't do much in terms of operating third party apps(Obviously! idk why my dumbass didn't think this.) Overall If you have a cloud account based Hik CCTV system, this isn't a good idea. If anyone has any other alternative through which I can view these cameras on my TV, I'll be very happy to know. Also, what else can I do with this firestick now? ._.

I USE IP Cam Viewer (free) with my Amazon Fire TV its one of the few apps that supports Fire TV natively, and it adapts to pretty much any tv set with a hdmi input. It can be installed and configured using the remote, but the smart phone apps are easier. I connect it directly to the cameras, not to a server but it will work with multiple cameras. The paid version will record and detect motion, but I doubt that many people leave their TV set running with the app just to do that. I paid for the upgrade anyway, just to give the developer a few $$.

I know this is old, but I just one of the Fire 7 (7th gen) tabs from amazon and was looking for a way to get IVMS running on it to view my Swann (Hikvision) NVR8-7200.

Apps that didn't work (crashed for me)
- IVMS 4500
- IVMS 4500 HD
- SwannView Plus
- CCTV Mobile

Apps that worked
- Guarding Expert HD (The old IVMS Interface - didn't look good full screen)
- IP Cam Viewer Lite (Horrible UI)
- Hik Connect - This is the one I am using.

So with Hik-Connect, the UI looks like the new IVMS apps, but the video stream doesn't crash after a few seconds. It also looks good full screen, and I can lock the fire 7 with it open, and when I unlock, it will resume full screen video.

Hope this helps someone

I finally ended up using tinycam, it looks excellent to see both of my IP cams. I don't view them while away from home. My Fire HD 8 7th generation has a bit of a slow Wi-Fi and drops frames, but its not really noticable. I bought two 10 in Galaxy Tab A tablets from Costco when they were $200. They have 802.11 AC and play at full frame rates. The display is much nicer as well. IVMS 4500 and 4500HD works fine on it, but only displays 1 cam or 4 cams, and since I have 2 cameras, it waste's half the screen. I use tinycam with it as well.
