So theres an SNMP setting inside the DVR console for my LTD8316T-FT DVRs

When I do an auto discover using my SNMP software, nothing pops up!

How do i view performance info off my DVRs? CPU? Memory? Hard Drive? Network usage?

Hell, how do i get access to the operating system? I'm pretty sure its Linux based... Ive tried Telnet and SSH with no love.. :(

Ok so I used an SNMP tester to do a "walk" through the SNMP settings on the DVR. You can search Paessler SNMP Tester and download it. This software has a "walk" setting and when its used with a generic OID,

1.3.6.1.2.1

Allows me to see how the DVR's SNMP responds. Here are the responses (my comments are in parenthesis)

----------------------- New Test -----------------------
Paessler SNMP Tester 5.1.3
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (9 ms) : Device: 10.1.10.250
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (15 ms) : SNMP V1
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (21 ms) : Walk 1.3.6.1.2.1
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (30 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0 = "" (no response)
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (35 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0 = "1.3.6.1.4.1.50001" (I wonder if this is the firmware version, it kinda looks that way but the Firmware the DVR's console is reporting to me says: V3.1.2 build 150209)
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (41 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 = "56868964" (I know that this is uptime since it matches the uptime request I sent separately to it)
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (47 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.4.0 = "" (no response)
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (52 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0 = "" (no response)
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (60 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.6.0 = "" (no response)
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (71 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.7.0 = "72" (no idea what this is)
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (77 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.8.0 = "0" (no idea what this is)
3/31/2015 10:24:13 AM (82 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0 = "2" (no idea what this is)

So far support from LTS has been non existent. Big surprise from a bottom basement brand.

Support really depends on which branch/who you got the system from...sorry you had a bad experience =[. If you got it from a reseller that sold you the DVR then yes there is no support from them.

edit: also maybe 1 tech out of the whole company knows how to use the SNMP setting on that thing...:(

Thank you for your thoughts my friend. LTSecurity.com really is a shit company. I mean how do I poll CPU/Memory/HD space from that DVR? That SNMP walk didnt tell me crap!

They dont make the nvr's they are made by hikvision...generally they are good NVR's...

Hmmm, thats interesting. Under "Configuration->maintenance->" there is no option for Net Detect or Traffic or even HDD Detect.

Who gives a shit what the performance is, are you playing skurim on it? Just be happy it records reliably.

If it played reliably, i "wouldnt give a shit", but he NVMS7000 software on the iphones and ipads that LTS says to install will constantly show "connection reset" at random times. This is part of my troubleshooting. Is the CPU maxed out? Is the memory full? Who knows?

I'm sorry not trying to be an asshole, had a long day. I installed a 4 port nvr the other day and the client is getting errors on his iPhone too. May be an app problem not a nvr problem. Does it record fine on the nvr itself? Is there other apps that work? Every once in a while when dahua updates gdmss for android it craps out also.

No worries my friend. No offense taken. I have a feeling what I am experiencing is also a compatibility problem between the NVMS7000 iphone/android app and the LTS DVRs that were installed. Of course those issues are the hardest to troubleshoot for a myriad of reasons and the only way to fix it would be to have the manuf. update their software. good luck getting them to do that! are you getting a "connection reset" error on the iphone/ipad tile that is trying to pull the feed from the DVR? I've eliminated bandwidth and network issues and now I'm stuck in limbo with a ipad/iphone app that works soemtimes but does not work others. All in all, i find its generally pretty horrible software all around (in the DVR and in the ipad/iphone apps)

OP

Client was getting a error code 153 code. His wife was getting a low memory error with the nvmss app. (on Iphone)> I think the app needs some work.

Interesting, that is happening on my client's iphone too. All those apps need a lot of work. they feel really cheap. Funny thing is, its a brovision products (they make their own DVRs) and the LTS site has instructions on using THAT.
