I got this hybrid nvr speco technologies for free and im planning on buying 3x 4mp ip poe cameras. But im not exactly sure if this nvr will support 4mp cameras. May someone please see if this nvr system will work for my 3 cameras?

The way I read the specs, it will record 2MP cameras on 8 channels, but only 1 channel (channel #1) up to 5MP. So only one 4MP camera could be used, all others would be 2MP max.

Okay so that means it will only utitlize one channel to 4mp and the rest will be recorded in only 2mp max?

Hi Newbie,

Channel 1 = which ever that is on the NVR, can record 4MP

other channels you have to configure the cameras to send 2MP res - or else it will not work.
