I just started testing my new camera and the picture looks weird. In the daytime theres a pink hue on the right and at night its blacked out on the left. What could cause this.

it looks like the IR filter is stuck midway...try hitting the camera while changing from day to night mode.

These threads provide guidance and instructions on the dissasembly and reassembly to get to the IR cut filter.
Most times, you can free up the cut filter by smacking the cam while manually setting the cam into color and back to b&w repeatedly. If that doesn't work, then "going in" may be needed.

Hopefully it stays fixed.
On mine, I did the tapping fix on two occasions. After the 3rd instance of stuck IR cut filter, and I decided to "go in". It's been working since.
