I have Dahua based version of NVR (4k) and IP cameras. I can see the streams just fin in VLC (h264 and JPEG) but when I try to play them via a Linux media player box it takes a good 15-20 seconds for the stream to start (MJPEG doesn't start there at all). Same box has no issues with other h264 and MJPEG stream so I can't blame either. I was hoping the i frame adjustment will help with that but there is no difference when I change the i frame interval. Same goes for lowering resolution, difference bit rate, requesting TCP or UDP stream, etc.
I can also relay (stream from the stream, without transcoding or with transcoding) the camera stream via VLC and the Linux box plays it instantaneous. I do have options to play via .SDP file and I do see the log from the box:

My guess is the box I have doesn't like the response (lack of IP may be).
Does anyone know how can I create .sdp file with possibly some hardcoded parameters so the stream is forced vs negotiated?
UPDATE: I resolved this issues by upgrading firmware. Cameras were initially on LeChange 2.622.0000001.18.R, Build Date: 2017-12-13. I de-branded them to Dahua version 2.800.0000008.0.R, Build Date: 2019-06-19 and the RTSP stream started right away in my player. Then I updated incremental to V2.800.0000013.0.R, Build Date: 2019-12-02 and V2.800.0000014.0.R, Build Date: 2019-12-03 and stream is still quick to start.
Once I connected the cameras back to LeChange NVR, the stream (relay via NVR) was slow again. So I debranded the NVR and updated to Dahua DH_NVR4XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.001.0000000.1.R.200319 which again resolved the slow RTSP stream start.
