Trouble playing videos from PC from Swann SRDVR 44500H

DVR4-4500 4 Channel 1080p Digital Video Recorder (Plain Box Packaging)

They have a application for h.264 format if you've downloaded via thumb drive, but the videos I've downloaded have been from the web application and it says they have a .mp4 file extension. Windows media/divx can't play them. any ideas?

Okay posted in parallel with my own research to get answer fast as possible and found the answer. VLC player works -- just tried it.

It looks like they targeted iPhones for all the network management features and iTunes plays mp4. The web management process for PC is poorly documented from start to finish.

There are a few players that can take care of that format, the one I use is what you found, VLC player....simple and effective.

Windows media/divx can't play them.

By default, Windows Media Player out of the box can't play the h.264 content as Windows doesn't have an h.264 codec.
VLC does, so it can play your .mp4 container h.264 files.
If you add an h.264 codec to your Windows installation WMP will be fine.
