Hi All,

I purchased this ELP IP-1181 camera http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KA4M4WS which comes with a 3.6mm lens. I also purchased this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q8IHRW pinhole lens. The pinhole screws in just fine but all I get is washed out colors and no image at all. Is there a camera setting in the software that needs to be changed to go with this lens or is this lens just wrong for the camera? The original lens screws in or out to find focus. Tried that with the pinhole lens and again all I see is washed out color and no image at all.

Welcome to the forum, you cannot adjust this in the camera...you must have an incorrect lens if there is no point where it is in focus.

No more that what @fenderman has suggested - the focal point of the replacement lens cannot be adjusted to be at the top surface of the sensor. A mechanical problem.

I think the original lens has an IR film on it that the new pinhole lens doesn't have. Anyone know where I can find a pinhole lens with the IR film?
