I use motion detection recording. I setup pre-recording 5 secconds(it is maximum value) and anti-dither 10 seconds.
But sometimes, some video does not have 5 seconds pre event scenes totally.
Is this a bug?
Is there any way to fix it?

Camera: Dahua starlight vari-focal 2MP turret. IPC-HDW5231R-Z (FW. 2.460.0000.7.R, Build Date: 2017-03-06)
Video encode mode: H.265
Smart codec: Off
Resolution: 1080P
FPS: 10
Bit: vbr
Quality: 4
Max bitrate: 2048

it could be the motion is not being triggered in time...are you recording to sd card/nvr? In your other threads you mention blue iris, the camera recording settings dont affect blue iris..

I am recording to only sd card. I don't use NVR.
I don't know what "blue iris" is. I don't use it and I didn't talk about that.

The motion is triggered. The recording should contain pre 5 seconds before the event. But some recording does not.
For example, on the log page of the cam, motion detection event begin message is written at 06:10:15. But the recording begins 06:10:15. The recording should begin 06:10:10.
I think that 1~2 seconds lost is reasonable error. But 4~5 seconds lost is not.

I am recording audio(AAC) too. Does recording audio affect to this problem?

Under Settings->Record Control do you see 5 seconds for pre-record listed?

Try changing it to 10, saving, then changing it back to 5 and saving again. Maybe the settings is corrupt and it doesn't see a value there. If not, try the usual reset to defaults and give that a go. Wish you the best and hope it works.
