The sheer magnitude of stuff thats fucked up that Trump and his team must tackle..

100% definitely in Flux .. at an inflection point, many of those who are able to see beyond the internal politics can see this ( both of those we think as on the "right" and the "left" )

We are it appears moving from maximalist apex global trade to more regionalist

From a quick scan, I see a number of items the author failed to appropriately address :

1) I do strongly believe the author is incorrect about the Russo-Ukraine war, as from an economic pov the West / EU / USA can easily assist Ukraine in a Win, Russia's economy is but the size of Texas or Italy.
It is simply a question of will power of the West, and as we learned in WWII - better to be proactive and win cheaper than reactive and pay untold amounts of $ and humans in war.

2) Re the Middle East, the author seems to miss the significantly larger picture of what is going on .. I see no mention of the natural gas pipeline proposals which were to transit Syria and the Iran / Shiite vs Sunni struggle

I did like that he did discuss population growth and food related issues in the Middle East, some of the critical ones to this discussion imho.

I'll have to scan the article a bit more when I have time ..

You mean this part?

"The Ukraine War was an American neocon project to destabilize Russia...."

Pretty much.
The US and NATO decided in 2014 to overthrow a govt in Ukraine and start talking about NATO affiliation after telling the Russians they wouldn't

Unfortunately, many of the earlier best articles are archived now for paying subscribers, but here's a few

SO you believe the Ukrainians do not have agency, and that the USA is so powerful that it can cause people to stand up in their own countries and demand change and get that change

and you believe NATO is that powerful of an organization

and yet ..

USA lost big time in
1) Iraq
2) Syria ( we did not get the Government we want in )
3) Gaza ( we certainly did not want Hamas running that place )
4) Afghanistan
5) Vietnam
6) Cuba
7) Venezuela
8) Mexican cartels ..

If what you state is true, then why did the USA succeed in Ukraine and Russia failed ??

Perhaps Russia is just NOT as well liked by the Ukrainians and does not deserve to be the world power it thinks it is.

It doesnt matter what I believe, and I dont give two fucks whether Russia is or isnt a world power.

The facts are that the US and NATO via the 2014 overthrow of the Ukraine government, and promising Russia not to go "an inch further east" as well as US labs and money laundering in Ukraine, pushed Russia too far and effectively began the current conflict, Knowingly. Intentionally.

Why did the US succeed in overthrowing the Ukraine govt? $$$ The US has a history of overthrowing governments going back well over 60 years, this isnt exactly news.

I never said the US was successful in Ukraine, quite the contrary, we tend to make a mess every time we do it.
You can add Ukraine to the list of failures

Depends how you define lost and succeed. In the list of 8 countries, the US succeeded in letting the neocons and warmongers play their games with other peoples' lives, and strengthened the MIC. How has the USA succeeded in Ukraine? So far, by overthrowing the government, enriching the MIC, and laundering a lot of USA money. The story isn't over, is it? In the end, losing some of the stranglehold on world money flow and having Russia cozy up with China might end up putting Ukraine on the "lost big time" list. I do hope that Trump and Putin can get together and have a "How can we stop this shit" discussion.
