What this the location for the chart listed ?

I guess we'd have to look closer at how the data is collected for their measurements and this historical record ..

"Monday, July 3, was the hottest day ever recorded globally, according to data from the U.S. National Centers for Environmental Prediction.

The average global temperature reached 17.01 degrees Celsius (62.62 Fahrenheit), surpassing the August 2016 record of 16.92C (62.46F) as heatwaves sizzled around the world."

Was it hotter than this a few million years ago? I think not. What are they complaining about then...

Honestly I don't understand why we can't just strap some rockets to 1 side of the earth and run them and full power and move us a few thousand miles further from the sun, boom, colder.

If they now block the Sun, how are those precious solar panels going to work?

Put all the panels on the moon and run a big wire back down to earth

You just got to love CNN's fear monger headline.......

This week’s record-breaking global temperatures are likely highest in ‘at least 100,000 years’

All the idiots that believe that should throw away their AC, Gas stove, Gas BBQ grill, ceiling fans, furnace, throw away their vehicles, TV's kids gaming system and go off and live off grid in a cave somewhere....no camp fires allowed.

The solar panels collect radiant energy that would have otherwise been partially reflected back out to space. Wouldn't it be a hoot if they were responsible for the temps rising? In the spirit of having to break the rules of capitalism to save it, maybe we have to destroy the earth in the name of saving it.

Solar panels are much, much, much more reflective than my black, asphalt roof and pretty much everything else that they cover

In fact, I saved quite a bit of energy from putting them up there, less heat getting into the attic

The real problem is all the damn concrete. We need to move things back to grass/meadows/whatever was there before.

I don't see it that way since they're designed to collect as much radiant energy as they can. OK, on a black roof I'll call it a wash. My medium brown roof reflects more of the sun's energy back out than the black solar panels do. Ditto for the ground mount panels compared to the soil and foliage. Even the asphalt reflects more.

Either way I still support solar panels, I think they are a net-gain all round
I waffle on this. I had the first of 2 independent systems installed 12 years ago with the goal of saving money. This part of it has been a flop because the electricity rates in my area have gone up very little (so far), and after 10 years the batteries went kaput. At this point I project financial breakeven to exceed my life span. What I didn't realize up front was the great luxury of having an almost whole-house UPS. Priceless! After seamlessly sliding through the first few grid glitches and outages I quit worrying about the $$$ breakeven point. The secondary goal was being green. I think this works out when not too many people have solar at home. Once there are "too many" small distributed power sources, it begins to hamper the grid as it's currently designed. To date I've produced about 130 megawatt hours. I say that to try to impress people. It takes the Grand Coulee dam over a minute to produce that much!

Back to the general subject, I do have to wonder about all of the controls being foisted on us. An article I read today, biased I'm sure, claims that Carnival's cruise ships produce as much bad stuff as all the cars in Europe. The Canadian wildfires are surely contributing to increased temps, the question for me is how much compared to whatever damage man is doing. We'll probably never get an honest answer because all of the governments and scientists are agenda driven.

Gee, anybody around that can confirm that?
Possibly Keith Richards? :lmao:

Yeah, I saw a BBC Article that says "IS TEXAS TO HOT FOR HUMAN NOW??????"

It ALWAYS gets this hot, just a little later in the year.
