LOL.

Thermal cameras are not fever detectors. Their accuracy is relatively poor, especially the cheaper models (which are still way too expensive for most of us). Plus, skin surface temperature is not internal body temperature.

We’re getting 2 installed next week, 1 on each site.

If it’s working when I get back on shift I’ll try and get some screen grabs. I won’t be able to get video capture due to the usual personal data stuff. I presume HR will be controlling it, not engineering.

I do feel we’re a little late to the party but it shows the company is doing all it can to protect its staff.

@erkme73 Hmm... thermal cameras being sold at too low of prices by a new ebay account with "fence" right in the name. I hope you at least get a working thermal cam out of it!

Well, I received it. It's unbranded on the camera and box, but the firmware is this:

Web interface looks identical to the DH-TPC-BF5421 I bought last week.

It came in a sealed bag. I offered $170 on the OBO on eBay and they accepted. So total price w/tax and shipping was $199. They have 10 more, so I may bite for a few more.

First capture with it on the kitchen counter - all stock.

Dammit @erkme73 !!!

Mine should be here next week

I wonder if they are S1 or S2 versions.

The S1 versions were problematic with triggering. I spent months troubleshooting with Dahua engineers on the problem and they couldn't resolve it.

The S2 is rock solid though. I think they learned on the S1.

Won’t matter, for me it’s just a starter cam to get a feel how useful they might be.
Probably give it to my buddy with the goat farm after I get done tinkering with it

A thermal is so ridiculously useful. I don't use my S1 as a spotter, but it is incredible for seeing motion and stuff way further than you can see or visible cams. The S2 and newer I use as a spotter.

We had an incident where a door checker didn't come past my house and none of the visible cams saw him, but the thermal did and you could see his movement 10-12 houses away.

Build date of the software in the screenshot was 2020 June 3. Do you remember if S2 was released before that?
