Can I safely take a saved parameter file from a DS-7604NI-E1/4P and use it on my new DS-7608NI-I2/P or should I just note the old settings as best I can and start new with the new NVR. TIA.

The format of the device configuration file and whether it's encrypted or not varies somewhat with the version of firmware.

The newer NVR has a slightly higher version. Guess I should just start from scratch.
