I had never witnessed a Wild turkey fly in person until 2 weeks ago. There were 4 of them on the Frontage road as came around the corner of the frontage road to Hwy 36. And one of them decided I was a threat ( apparently) in my 28 mile an hour Pathfinder. So they all took off, and three of them crossed the Dad GUmmed Freeway! The other one did a u turn over the hwy 36 off ramp, and came back to the woods on my side. He looked a little older and fatter ( like me) than the other 3.
The other three made damn good time. they almost flapped like Pheasants. I was shocked. I thought, " yall aint gonna beleive this shit"..... So I felt whose gonna believe ya...Like the Cougar in 2003 on HWY 70 in the Chequamegon Nat'l forest.
Well thats my story and I'm stickin to it.
