I searched but found no threads (probably searching wrong). My cameras false trigger to bugs and other mysterious objects. At times it looks like a blizzard yet I see nothing when I go out and look at the cameras. I think at times the IR is reflecting of moisture in the air, at other times I just don't know what it's picking up. Bugs are certainly a major part of the problem. The cameras have V5.2 firmware.
Is it possible to disable the IR on the Hikvision cameras? I currently have DS-2CD2032-I cameras, but will likely buy the equivalent turrets when I add more. I don't mind buying separate IR illuminators and locate them away from the cameras, if that will greatly reduce false triggers.
I hate to lower the sensitivity for fear of missing an event. My hard drive has plenty of space even with all the false triggers. The problem is when I need to go back and find an event, It's almost like full-time recording due to all the false triggers, thus it takes forever to find the event.
