Not sure when this started but I was trying to login to UI3 last night and can not.
I did do a BI upgrade yesterday

Get the following..

Access to 192.168.1.9 was denied
You don't have authorization to view this page.

HTTP ERROR 403

I am using the correct port number and username. Also remote in to BI to verify the username password.

Even directly on my BI PC I cannot login to UI3.
Anyone else experiencing an issue?

1) Are you local or login using a VPN ?
2) What device are you using to access the BI web server ?
3)What other software is enable on the BI PC, firewalls, antivirus...
4) can you access the BI web server from a PC that is hardware to your home/local network ?

1) Local
2) using a laptop on WiFi and also tried my cell phone
3) private firewall is off, no other apps runing on the PC. (Win10, BI and that's it)
4) get the same error directly on the BI PC

5) just put my phone on LTE and VPN, sget the same Access Denied.

EDIT::::
This use to work while I was using BI in Evaluation Mode.

I don't think Blue Iris's web server normally sends back HTTP 403 codes. Something else might have taken over and claimed the port # you normally have assigned to Blue Iris. Check what that port number is in Blue Iris Options > Web Server. Then look in Resource Monitor to see what is listening on that port with TCP protocol.

In my setup it is port 81 and here is Resource Monitor showing that port 81 TCP belongs to Blue Iris.

@SouthernYankee ,
I have no clue what happened between me starting this thread and you asking for the link I am trying to access.

I clicked on my favorite UI3 shortcut and voila, it worked. :banghead: :banghead: was ready to screen grab and post it up. :idk:

No idea why it would not work last night and this morning and not it is. on both my laptop and my cell while using VPN.

Thanks guys for your time, trying to help me out.

This happens when you exceeded your log in attempts. It bans the IP for the amount you have it set for. Default seems to be 60 minutes before it can log in.

You can clear the ban list by restarting Blue Iris (restart the service if it is running as service).
