Got a new cam D-Link DCS-855L

I have setup internal IP for the cam. Did a scan and can see port 80, 443 and 554 open for the device.

I went to add new camera IP with username and password. Make - Generic / Model RTSP. Also selected Make - DLink / Model RTSP (path becomes /live.sdp)

But it still says Cam1: No Signal

So is it not going to work or can I tweak something else to make it work?

try to see if you can get the camera to stream to vlc..
Have you tried all the dlink options from the dropdown?
Try to contact dlink to see if they will give you the url...
You can also give access to the BI developer to see if he can get the stream.

I got the camera feed by choosing DCS-935 from dropdown
Path: /play1.sdp

But PTZ is not working.. you reckon it should work?

Will contact Dlink for proper URL as well..

Not sure how to get onvifdm working and getting URL

IF you are getting video you have the correct url..ptz is not related to the video url.
Have you enabled ptz in blue iris? have you tried all the dlink options in the blue iris ptz tab from the dropdown (there are many)..

PTZ is working initially now on profile DSC-5010/5222/5605/5635 but doing the opposite.. i.e. on pan left.. its going right and vice versa. tilt up is going down and vice versa..

not working on any other profile.. including the generic dlink one

Simply select reverse up down and reverse left right in the options on bottom of the ptz tab. Problem solved.

No problem. If its working, there is nothing more you need to do.

Hey guys.. resurrecting an old thread... For some reason I had to reset my router.. since then all my other cameras can connect to Blue Iris but not this one..

In my backup screenshots of router, I did have port forwarding for all hikvision cameras to their respective IP.. but there was nothing I had set for D-Link (Wifi Camera on Static IP).. What could I be missing?

You don't want or need port forwarding if the cameras are local to the machine.

All cameras are in local LAN.. port forwarding was only if i wanted to access the camera interface from outside .. but then again.. I can ping the dlink.. I can see port 80 443 and 554 are open on the camera on a port scan.. what could i be missing? Why isn't BI able to connect to it?

On a new setup scan BI can see

Opening port 80...
HTTP request...
Failed with HTTP 404
Opening port 8999...
HTTP 12029
Checking for common cameras...
Foscam FI86xx/98xx compatible?
Foscam FI89xx compatible?
Foscam FI9821 V2 compatible?
Foscam FI9821 media port compatible?
RTSP port open?
RTSP port detected!
Done
But on the camera which was already set in BI I get Socket error 10053 (Error 80002745)

Adding a new camera with same IP.. just gives multicoloured lines

Don't port forward, it's a serious security risk..you can Remote into the PC to access the cameras... can you access the camera's web interface from the blue iris PC?
