**UPDATED**SUCCESS**CRACKED*Swann PROPRIETARY camera-can't see it on the network-Swann SWNHD-865MSB

Can you ping the address?

Microtheft put some kind of update to make new problems not too long ago. I had to
play W/ IE10 to get it to work again. I can hit the cams individually w/ Firefox, IE10 (sometimes) and Pale Moon.

No luck with Pale Moon, http:// returns a blank screen, https:// returns a 404 error.

Do yo have ONVIF Device Manager? I just used it and did a write up here with Swann and Dahua cams and NVRs. Also Swanns love funky ports too!

I tried it, but it didn't see my Swanns. It saw my reolinks though.

Would you mind linking to your write-up?

There is a search function that works really well!

Did anyone get ONVIF Device Manager to work on the NHD-865? I can get a stream out of it but unable to pull the PIR data from it for Blue Iris.

Received a kit which contains four NHD-887MSFB and one SRNVR-88580H(Part# on the NVR is actually NVR8-8580RN).

Anyone know what kind of PoE Injector I need to get camera working?
Also, I am planing to use IP camera directly with my NAS for recording. Any special steps to get ONVIF working?

Thanks,

Updates: Just tried one camera, NHD-887MSFB. After power up, it just worked! Able to access via browser. And it surprise me that all the Intelligent features are built into the camera itself, other than the NVR.

So what's the point of NVR? Any additional benefits of using Swann NVR? Thanks,

ONVIF works just fine.
Any POE as far as I know.
Older systems had everything in the NVR.
I still use a 16 hole Swann NVR w/ 6 Gig Purple, 8 Swann cams,4 "Andy" cams and
1 "Andy" 16 hole NVR. Everyone plays well together too!

FYI: The swann cameras you guys are referring to, are also sold at harbor freight as the COBRA 4K NVR POE CAM. Has IR, spotlight, AI, etc... Not crippled by software in any way.
Here's the link: 4K NVR Indoor/Outdoor POE Weather Resistant Camera
ODM lists the firmware as: V21.45.7.1_210930 and the model as: RS-CM-361C
It works just fine with blue iris, after you change the settings on the camera page to use H264+ and not 265+, and enable anonymous viewing on the RTMP page.
On blue iris side, use rtsp:/YOURDEVICEIP:554/ONVIF_RTSP/ch01/0 as the address.
Can use ODM to change/view config, along with the browser page at the default IP.

I have a SWNHD-1200DE-US thats coming tomorrow.

Does anyone know if ONVIF works with this model?

I'm hoping the same process works with the one I'm receiving.

Trying to add it to Blue Iris

Thanks!

Digging up this old thread... does anyone happen to have NHD-887 firmware V14.45.5.0_191204 handy perchance? I'm guessing it would be CHX48M_F128M_SF_ENU_swann_V14.45.5.0-191204_r8970_W.sw or similar.

The proper url for this camera to bring it up in ISpy, Blue Iris etc.
rtsp:/USERNAME:PASSWORD@CAMERA_IP_ADDRESS:554/ONVIF_RTSP/ch01/0
The username and password are not required if you do not have it set up in the IPCs backend web ui but if you do that url is how you make it work
Android Phone apps like Onvier will pick the cameras up fine as Onvif discovered cameras on your local network so your phone MUST be connecter to the LAN network the cameras are on in order to pick them up
The ANNKE 8 and 16 channel NVRs will show and record these cameras as ONVIF devices if you add them
If you use an app on a PC like Annke Vision you can view the cameras from the NVR if you import it to the app.
ISpy64 (and the later verson of that app), blue iris, and a few other apps will pick these IPCs up with little to no hassle
To access these Cobra / Swann cameras via web browser, you can't use google chrome or microsoft Edge because those do not play nice with the login system and will return an incorrect username or password errors, so as far as I can tell only firefox seems to work to access the web backend to set these up.
These cameras can be powered by 12 vdc via the barrel jack or by a POE+ smartswitch like Ubiquiti edge switch series, D-Link DGS1210-10P and so on thru the ethernet cable, or you can use a POE injector that can operate at 802.3af, 802.3at and recently tested this one, 802.3bt will power the cameras. Pasive POE or the old non ISO POE with 24 volts not work in fact it could damage the camera
Hope this info helps someone cause I am done with these, they are up and working so no more fixing them lol, Moving on to reversing some Vivnit IPCs and wireless doorbell cameras now.
