I understand the basics of the two views of this war. On one hand yes, Russia fired the first shots and thus deserves the pushback. On the other, many would say the US has encouraged the outbreak of hostilities for years for a variety of reasons, not all of them virtuous.
There’s a lot of dirty hands involved and we may never know the full extent. But I’m not keen on backing an apparently less and less stable Putin into a corner where he sees no escape but to lob a few nukes over this.
