2. Inflation-indexed social security benefits drive up overall income every year.
3. The thresholds for calculating how much social security benefits are included as income are not indexed.
4. Therefore, creeping up every year, all benefits will eventually become taxable income.
A tax increase every year with congress getting to say they didn't pass a tax increase.
