Nobody else has been able to control the out-of-control FBI. However it looks like Trump, Pam and Kash are giving it a hard try. Trump has already fired a number of senior FBI officials. I think we need to give these people some time to flush out the bad guys at the FBI. It is not going to happen overnight as much as we would like it to.

It remains to be seen if Trump and team can turn around America at home and abroad. They’re taking on a powerful Overclass that produces far less than it takes, destroys far more than it creates, and will fight tooth-and-nail to preserve its sinecures. One thing is clear. Without recognition of hard realities and a dramatic turnaround, America’s government will go the way of other failing enterprises that couldn’t change course, sooner rather than later.

You're right of course, but its not looking great at the moment.
I get the lack of patience, I've actually flip flopped on that and could rightly be accused of hypocrisy on the subject.
But what bothers me is the language creeping into Bondi and Patel's words like a switch was thrown last Thursday, and the odd celebrations of otherwise worthwhile but relatively boring efforts (take suing Wisconsin for example) which smell of trying to change the narrative.
I've seen that movie before.

Russia is struggling with dealing with their next door neighbor Ukraine and is in a war of attrition. I think many of us are surprised as how impotent Russia really is. Their air force and navy have effectively been sidelined, they started off having to use a private group of mercenaries and now they are needing assistance from North Koreans. Russia is NOT going to attack a NATO member as that is certain and quick death. The overbearing EU overlords talk about the boogey man in hopes it'll keep their kingdom together with a common cause.

But if you read the comments in the thread, you see most people are asking the same questions.
The focus is on showing some “wins”.
I would argue that many of these important but less actions would be less necessary if you instead attacked the head of the snake.
When corrupt govt officials are free to continue subsidizing and encouraging the illegal immigrant and drug trades, there might just be less of these guys to arrest.
We’re seeing a “Look Squirrel!” strategy being played out in real time instead of being forthcoming about the bigger problem.

I think some of the Europeans don't understand....America is not an unruly member of the EU. In fact, the EU was created as an economic adversary of America. They can't even get their own shit together in this context. And, lest they forget....many of our ancestors left their countries to come to America for freedom of which the EU countries apparently have a disgust and disregard for. Dear EU, please leave us out of your mess and enjoy your misery together.
p.s. Leave us out our your European created world wars next time please. Maybe take your WWIII plans to Uranus.
