Hi,

Does anyone have an english manual for the ip cam DS-2CD2132F-IWS? It comes with firmware v5.2.3_141024. Where can I find the latest firmware? The cam is from China. Which region hack do I have to apply?

Thanks in advance..

Try this commands via telnet or SSH, if you have Lang=2 or "Chinese", do nothing (no upgrading or downgrading)!

Thanks for the help. Which software can I use on a mac to view this cam? I can't use the included mini-dvd.

I have bought the ip cam from CCTV Camera China on aliexpress. I modify network parameters with SADP, but using the default admin password 12345, it says "Failed to modify the settings.ID:001"

You dont need SADP, if the camera is at the default ip address of 192.0.0.64 then connect the camera to your pc or connect both the camera and pc to a switch (nothing else) change the ipv4 settings in the network adapter you are using to 192.0.0.1 and you will be able to access the camera directly..

Thanks a lot for the help. I would like to know, if the ip cam can be rotated through pc software?

There is a rotate image feature in the camera settings itself.
Configuration> Image> Video adjustment > Rotate

That is only the image, and not the lens that rotates?
On the standard 2132 model its only a two axis camera so the lens does not rotate the way you need it to...
There are other models that are 3axis..as well as a 2132iws that is reportedly a 3 axis..

I have the 2132Fiws, and I wanted to know if I could rotate the lens in the dome through a pc software.

No you cannot move the camera remotely via software . I think what you are referring to is a PTZ camera that would allow you to follow someone ? You can manually rotate the lense if you take the dome off. I have just done this on exactly that model about 10 mins ago. The 2132f now includes 3'axis movement as opposed to the 2 axis only on the old 2132
