Hi,
I recently succeeded in updating my VTO2000A to the latest software (v4). After a lot of trouble to get the VTO flashed using the TFTP method explained in another post, I am now confronted with a black VTH1550CH device.... Grumbl...
When I plug-in a PoE cable connected to my VTNS1060A switch, I notice that the device powers up, and in Wireshark I can also see two entries showing up from IP address 192.168.1.108. showing
- the upgrate_info_7db780a713a4.txt file
- the failed.txt message
I use the Dahua_TFTPBackup toolset just like I did to unbrick my VTO200A. See Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP
So in the root folder, I have all files I need to flash this VTH device, I start the TFTP Server etc. but don't get it to flash anything. When pinging the IP shown in Wireshark, nothing is received in return.
I also noticed that at the left side of the VTH, there is a little hole in there which seems to look like a reset hole, presumably allowing you to reset the device with a paperclip or alike. Not sure though if this is a correct assumption and if anyone has experience with this and can confirm this is indeed a reset option.
I am interested to hear from others who might have been successful already in resetting the VTH1550CH to know how you did it.
Thanks in advance for any hint you might have.
Duvel.
