Wall of shame

Job I’m trying to quoting with 15 hikvision ip cameras installed a few years back and 15 analog cameras installed who knows when. Both on separate computer systems probably by 2 different local companies.

Was going to reuse Hikvision ip cameras and just replace all the analog but nobody knows the old password, so I can’t add them to the Dahua nvr

Thanks for info. I’m not certain, but I recall a rebrand of this camera not having a reset button inside. I Could try the software approach if it’s even worth it. I have done the password reset thing once before on a hik nvr.

If you are putting in a Dahua system, you might be better off just putting in new dahua cameras. You will relieve yourself from quite a few headaches, especially around daylight savings time or when something happens there and you need to do playbeack

Ain't so bad. At least there's not a USB cable holding up the shelf

When I worked in Nigeria, this was the set up in a computer training room.

Looks like the tangle under my desk at home. Frequently connecting and disconnecting other computers so I have 2 Monitors, 2 kybrds, 2 mice, etc..

This has to be the best thread ever. I think I laughed inside .. cried .. belly laughed out loud. You name it, this thread has it.

BTW, to any and all of you guys doing this day in and day out, know from this neophyte to you that I think ya'll deserve far more than you're paid. Some of this shit is pure insanity, and definitely not for the faint of heart.

Bravo, I say .. bravo.
